This is so timely a video for me. Having just lost my Dad, I was struggling with the thought, "How do I do life without my Dad?"
In the back of my mind, I know that God is God, but my Dad is... was the physical face I looked to. My manifestation of God. And there was my error. No I don't think it's wrong to admire positive character traits of others, but just maybe I crossed over to idol worship. Ouch! For that I humbly repent.
In our cutlture, it is easy to see a physical person do a thing and think, "Wow! I'd like to be like him." But this video reminded me that it is the unseen God that gives strength to do anything and man is just a vapor ever dependant on his Creator. We are able to accomplish our most amazing feats when we yield to The Most High and trust him. He is our ever present help if we will just trust, just ask. Message received.
